The Amherst Police Department agreed to spend $3.7 million over 10 years on a contract with Axon Enterprise to provide updated body worn cameras, car cameras and tasers in 2023. In 2018, the New York Attorney General provided $37,625 to the Amherst Police Department for 43 body-worn cameras.
